The Silk Road Economic Belt and the 21st-century Maritime Silk Road, referred to as The Belt and Road Initiative, also call B&R.
The Belt and Road Initiative is a transnational economic belt initiated and led by the Chinese government in 2013, with investments in nearly 70 countries and international organizations.
It is China’s economic and trade investment and economic aid projects in countries along the route, undertaking engineering contracting business, promoting China’s steel structure construction technology to go global, and driving building materials and supporting products to the international market. It is a historic opportunity for the sustainable development of the steel structure industry. With the in-depth promotion of the Belt and Road Initiative and the dual circulation strategy, China’s domestic construction industry has responded positively and actively integrated into the global industrial chain, especially steel structure enterprises, which are more actively involved in international competition and cooperation.
The Belt and Road Initiative not only drives the global industrial chain and promotes the economic development of related countries, but also facilitates the external development and industrial upgrading of China’s industry. The joint construction of the Belt and Road Initiative is committed to the interconnection of the Eurasian and African continents and nearby oceans, establishing and strengthening the interconnection partnerships of countries along the route, and building a comprehensive, multi-level, and complex interconnection network to achieve diversified, independent, balanced, and sustainable development of countries along the route. The interconnection projects of the Belt and Road Initiative will promote the docking and coupling of development strategies of countries along the route, explore the potential of the regional market, promote investment and consumption, create demand and employment, enhance cultural exchanges and mutual learning of civilizations among peoples along the route, and let people of all countries meet, know each other, trust and respect each other, and share a harmonious, peaceful and prosperous life. In particular, it will promote economic ties among countries and achieve mutual benefit. Promoting the construction of the Belt and Road Initiative is not only a need for China to expand and deepen its opening up to the outside world, but also a need to strengthen mutually beneficial cooperation with Asia, Europe, Africa and other countries in the world. China is willing to assume more responsibilities and obligations within its capacity and make greater contributions to the peaceful development of mankind.
Under the initiative of the Belt and Road Initiative, domestic steel structure enterprises in China actively develop overseas markets and promote their own development. Steel structure construction technology continues to develop and mature, forming a perfect supply chain. Timely updating of equipment, promoting industrial upgrading, ensuring processing quality, and winning more and more praise and cooperation. Chinese steel structure enterprises have made Chinese steel structures occupy more seats in the world construction market with reasonable prices, perfect quality and excellent after-sales service.
